We are a team of 400 creative professionals across three continents with offices in Southern California, Honolulu, New York, London, Singapore and Shanghai.

The New York location of Wimberly Interiors is hiring a Junior Interior Designer. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with days in the office and work from home days.

**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**

A Junior Designer provides essential design and/or technical support for the interior design team and works closely with senior staff to shadow and develop design and deliverables for various projects. The Junior Designer position will assist in the preparation, updating and correction of drawings, presentations, graphics; design; CAD design; Revit use; furniture, fixture and accessory specifications; furnishing, color and material boards; model making; FF&A sourcing; resource organization; and general computer skills.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS:**

This position requires a B.S. or B.A. in Interior Design, or related education and 1-3 years experience in a small to mid-size professional service firm.

**REQUIRED SKILLS:**

* A proficient level of experience in the use of Revit, AutoCad, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel

* Moderate level of experience performing hand sketch case work, vignette scenes, hand coloring, rendering interior drawings, area take offs and shop drawings

* Familiarity with general office procedures, such as processing purchase orders

* The ability to assemble FF&E and finish boards with minimal supervision

* A proficient level of experience in interior design concepts such as, space planning, furniture, fixtures, and product research

* Must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors and internal staff

* Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:**

* Assist with concept presentations and verbal presentations as necessary

* Assist and prepares furnishing, color & material boards

* Assist the department with product resource organization

* Assist the department with sourcing and product research

* Ability to manipulate rendered plans/section elevations

* Experience with freehand sketches is preferred

* Experience with CAD and Revit documentation

* Experience with Furniture, Fixtures & Accessories specifications

* Experience coordinating with outside vendors

* Maintain and update drawing files

The primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Assist with Furniture, Fixtures & Accessories research

* Assist with GC finishes, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, millwork details - specifications and organizing

* Assist the department with the preparation of graphics and 3D renderings

* Maintain and organize the design library

* Will perform other project duties as assigned by the Manager
