Junior Interior Designer for Workplace Furnishing Dealer

AOI is seeking a motivated and creative Junior Interior Designer to join our furniture dealership team. As a Junior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and layout of interior spaces, specifically focusing on furniture selection and placement. Your expertise in AutoCAD and 20/20 CAP software will be crucial in creating accurate and detailed plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an interior design or furniture dealership environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 20/20 CAP software, with the ability to create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Strong understanding of space planning, furniture layout, and interior design principles.
  • Knowledge of furniture materials, finishes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics, with the ability to develop visually appealing design concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to design challenges.

    Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior designers and clients to understand project requirements, goals, and budget constraints.
  • Assist in the creation of interior design concepts and mood boards, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, and space utilization.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and 20/20 CAP software to develop precise floor plans, elevations, and detailed furniture layouts.
  • Select appropriate furniture, fixtures, and accessories that align with the design vision and client preferences, considering factors such as style, comfort, and durability.
  • Prepare material and finish boards, presenting cohesive and visually appealing options to clients.
  • Assist in coordinating and communicating with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of furniture and fixtures.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess existing spaces, measure dimensions, and verify design feasibility.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and visualizations to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
  • Stay updated on current design trends, industry standards, and product knowledge related to furniture and interior design.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
