Position Responsibilities:
The individual selected for this position must have demonstrated the ability to successfully manage and supervise an operation of the scope and complexity of a Department of Defense Supply Activity or other equivalent Warehousing Facility. Must possess a general knowledge of Federal/DoD Supply System, MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP procedures, warehousing, packing and crating, shipping, pick-up and delivery, and MHE operations.
- Receive and inspect all incoming property, supplies and equipment.
- Have licensed operator for MHE and vehicles on site; examples include: forklifts up to 15K, and 5 ton trucks. MHE varies by location.
- Prepare receiving reports and maintain receipt of goods by customers and Reports of Discrepancy as required. Coordinate with the Government any discrepancies for corrective actions. Make recommendations on appropriate corrective actions.
- Develop catalog records for newly received property, supplies and equipment.
- Perform all functions required within an inventory control system to include but not limited to requisition receipt processing, issuing and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.
- Assist the Government in managing a facility for the receipt, issuance, storage and accountability of property and equipment.
- Prepare appropriate documentation for issuance of supplies and equipment.
- Send notification of cargo/equipment arrival to authorized customers and update status
- Properly account for all property, supplies and equipment.
- Prepare for shipment, supplies and equipment, to include preparation of appropriate paperwork and accounting documents as required.
- Package (ensuring air worthiness), certify, transport, and prepare all shipping documents and ensure hazardous material compliance with AFMAN 24-204 and the Defense Transportation Regulation.
- Package, manifest, and mark general and special handling cargo in accordance with AMC 24-101
- Exercise appropriate knowledge and skills, placing items in storage using applicable DOD guidelines for storage activities.
Position Qualifications
- HS plus 4 yrs. related experience.
- Knowledge of the Federal/DoD Supply System, MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP procedures, warehousing, packing, and crating, shipping, pick-up and delivery, and MHE operations.
