Junior Mechanical Engineer

The Ranger Group, a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer for a Contract role with a leading Manufacturing client in the Dallas Area. This role will require work to be completed 100% Onsite.

Job Summary:

Looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 1-5 years of experience, strong communication skills, and drive to work independently on a research project. Over 4000 purchased parts need identification and information input. This engineer will be in charge of calling the suppliers and gathering information for each part, filling out an excel template with said information, then inputting that template into the companies documentation EPR system. After all documentation is complete, then there is an opportunity for basic CAD work to create drawings for those 4000 parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a research project to identify and gather information for purchased parts
• Communicate directly with suppliers to collect required part details and input gathered information into an Excel template
• Transfer completed Excel templates into the company's EPR system for documentation purposes
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of data for each part
• Opportunities for basic CAD work

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with BOMs and PLMs
• Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers
• Ability to work independently and manage a large volume of data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of SolidWorks
