Job Description:
JOB PURPOSEThe Jr. Merchandising Associate is responsible in assisting all aspects of merchandising, planning, and implementing pricing strategies to maximize Direct to Consumer performance against sales and profit goals. This role works closely with the Director of Merchandising to assist in generating new strategies for growing the Ecommerce business in all categories. This role transitions to a Merchandising Analyst in phase 3 of the department strategic initiative plan. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Director of Merchandising in assembly, quality assurance, and analysis of ERP system data to develop a comprehensive merchandising strategy.
  • Maintain a system of project management to track progress of strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Merchandisers to optimize reporting tools in Magento and Netsuite.
  • Collaborate with Analytics Team in development of comprehensive Bi reporting.
  • Execute and refine a scalable process of price comparison to drive volume through competitive pricing while maintaining compliance with vender programs.
  • Partner with Demand Planning to create forecasts and build business cases for new initiatives.
  • Develop an intimate familiarization with product line master records and product hierarchy.
  • Complete data validation and cleanup tasks with an extremely high level of attention to detail.
  • Forster a culture of professional development through training, mentorship, and teamwork with both peers and subordinates.
  • Works with other managers, directors, and executives within the company through proper channels to engage in capital projects.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree required and 2-4 years' experience.
  • Possesses a fundamental understanding of the relationship between products, sales, marketing and the account base.
  • Proficient with software packages such as Microsoft Excel, Bi, and PowerPoint.
  • Fundamental understanding of ERP systems and project management software.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the business and be able to reconcile differences in understanding and vision.
  • Strong skills in statistics, mathematics, and analytics
  • Self-motivated, strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly, and timely.
  • Be accountable for your work performance and all actions regarding the duties and responsibilities as it relates to your position.
  • Be accountable and responsible for the proper use and care of company equipment.
  • Maintains a positive attitude, is goal driven and focused on the betterment and overall strategic picture of the organization.
WORKING CONDITIONSHours are somewhat flexible, with employees required to attend both team and individual meetings. Occasionally additional hours may be optional or mandatory to complete essential tasks. All work is performed within an office environment with occasional warehouse exposure. Occasional travel may be required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSJr. Merchandising Associate will have to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. Worker may be required to lift objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 40 lbs. on rare occasion. May also be required to walk and stand for long periods during occasional trade show seasons.DIRECT REPORTSN/AMust be at least 18 years old.
