Job Description:

Objectives of this Role

Provide effective and efficient support in all areas of mortgage operations to ensure optimized delivery of services. Effectively manage time to expertly meet the needs of the department while possessing a strong ability to pivot through multiple tasks for timely completion and little oversight of priorities.

* Prepare accurate mortgage closing packages pursuant to GSE, Government Entity, Investor or MI requirements while reviewing and clearing all underwriting closing conditions.

* Fund mortgage loan by utilizing internal funding procedures

* Manage lock desk, including expirations and re-disclosure requests, quickly and efficiently to maintain pricing.

* Perform pre-closing and post-closing quality control reviews audits monthly.

* Responsible for timely delivery of notes to investors for sale of mortgage loans.

* Scan and upload signed packages from LOs or title companies as needed.

* Assist processing/operations department as needed.

* Maintain compliance with internal and external loan policies and regulations

Essential Functions

* Knowledge and/or ability to research applicable state requirements.

* Prepare and balance final figures with closing agent

* Satisfactory preparation of loan documents to meet all federal, state, secondary market and in-house underwriting and compliance guidelines

* Prepare mortgage file and submit to closing in a timely manner to remain compliant with TRID guidelines.

* Determine necessary documents for mortgage file, including collateral and regulatory documents

* Determine the validity and completeness of mortgage application and processing documents

* Verifying the completion and accuracy of all mortgage lock requests based on the investor/product and advise on any pricing deficiencies.

* Uploading and Clearing files for pre and post- closing audits in a timely manner.

* Ability to back up all areas of operations

Skills and Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Basic math and computer skills

* Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills

* Ability to pass a background check

* Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency

* Minimum of 1-3 years in the mortgage industry

* Ability to work independently and as a team.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment

* Ability to handle high volume and high stress workloads

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
