Weichert Co. is hiring a Junior Network Administrator in Morris Plains, NJ. The Junior Network Administrator will assist in the management and maintenance of the Company's network systems. The position involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, performing server backups, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our network operations. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Assists in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.Learns how to support the implementation of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.Performs system backups of servers on premises and in MS Azure.Responsible for user account activation/deactivation in AD/AAD.Maintains documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.Participates in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans.Stays updated with the latest network technologies and best practices.Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:High school diploma or GEDBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred or Certification from a recognized instituteOne (1) or more years of related IT support and networking experienceUnderstanding of basic networking principlesPrevious experience with Server 2016/2019/2022 management preferredBasic understanding of network protocols, hardware, and softwareFamiliarity with network security practices and toolsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
