Junior Project Manager
Scott Humphrey has partnered with a subcontractor in the Drywall space looking for an Junior Project Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all phases of drywall projects, from pre-construction to completion.
- Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, submittals, change orders, and reports. Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Act as a liaison between the office, field personnel, and subcontractors to facilitate clear communication and ensure everyone is aligned on project goals and deadlines.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenses, tracking costs, and reporting any discrepancies to senior management.
- Help manage project schedules and ensure milestones are met. Identify potential delays and work with the team to implement solutions.
- Assist in performing site visits to monitor the progress and quality of work, ensuring that all work complies with project specifications and industry standards.
- Help identify project risks and assist in developing strategies to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in construction project management or a related field, preferably in the drywall or construction industry.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams and communicate with clients.
