The Company:

iON Technology Solutions (iTS) is a privately-owned design engineering company and a member firm of Island Group Enterprises (IGE). The Company provides proprietary engineered designs to Semiconductor Fabrication Plants globally with a focus on the Ion Implantation sector. We provide components and solutions to some of the most complex problems that plague the Semiconductor Fabrication industry. Our patented product lines include state of the art Ion Implant Sources, Extraction Electrodes and supplemental equipment. The Company is ISO 9001:2008 certified, maintains a Class 10,000 cleanroom facility, and a complete Quality Control lab.

The Position:

The Junior Sales Engineer will first familiarize themselves with iTSs extensive product lines and the manufacturing equipment that iTSs products support. The Candidate will primarily be responsible for communicating customers technical engineering requirements with iTSs engineering department and supporting business development activities with customers. The Candidate must have a technical background, ideally in Mechanical Engineer and/or in the Semiconductor industry, and must be able to understand and articulate technical Engineering concepts to iTSs Engineering Department and to customers. The job requires highly motivated candidates with good agility, excellent communication skills and, most importantly, a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Management in the development of new products and the expansion of iTS product lines
  • Understand the different Ion Implant systems that iTS supports and assist in the development of enhancements.
  • Act as a technical sales lead with customers.
  • Coordinate business development activities with all design-engineering activities,
  • Study new products and capabilities from iTS to prepare introductory material for customers.
  • Travel to customers to introduce new products and provide customer support.
  • Provide technical demonstrations to customers and provide their feedback to iTSs Engineering team
  • Educate and train customers and reps in product installation and application.
  • Develop business relationships by promoting iTS image, product portfolio and application solutions to assigned customers.
  • Prioritize and manage customer requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in science-related field required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Up to 5 years of direct experience in the Semiconductor industry or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings is required.
  • Willingness to travel (10-15%)
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Willingness to learn is essential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
