Active TS/SCI w/FS Poly (NSA) Clearance Required

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for multiple Junior System Administrators to join their team! As a Junior System Administrator in our client's team, you will start your career in IT by contributing to a team dedicated to delivering bespoke solutions. Your responsibilities will include providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. You will be involved in managing the daily operations of system configuration and ensuring smooth system functionality.

You will offer Tier 1 Help Desk support, aiding in problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Additionally, you will assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems effectively.

  • Actively contribute to a team of IT professionals working to deliver custom solutions to the customer
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
  • Provide Help Desk problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
  • Support a Linux-based environment

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in a technical field of study is required. An additional 5+ years of equivalent practical experience may be substituted for a degree

We realize this is a long list of preferred various skills and experiences! - Dont worry if you arent familiar with all of these. Only having some exposure and knowledge of the following various technologies is acceptable!:

  • Experience with Tier 1 (Help Desk) support of IT Systems

  • Experience with Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolutions

  • Experience implementing, troubleshooting and/or maintaining IT Systems

  • Experience managing IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

  • Experience with the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

  • Experience supporting the dispatch system and hardware problems and remaining involved in the resolution process

  • Experience with configuring and managing UNIX and Linux Operating Systems

  • Experience with installing/loading and troubleshooting Operating System software

  • Experience maintaining the integrity of and configuring network components

  • Experience implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance within an enterprise service environment

  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication services

Education/Certification Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required. An additional 5+ years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Clearance Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI w/FS Poly clearance is required. Please note that the FS Poly currently needs to be held by the NSA or within the past two years.
