Job Description:

We are looking for positive individuals to join our team at this government agency that plays a vital role in ensuring public safety. This dynamic full-time position is entry-level and works a traditional law-enforcement schedule of 12-hour shifts, with multiple days off each pay period, including weekends.

Entry-level rate of pay begins at $19.35 - $22.25 per hour with opportunities to increase pay based on job performance! Annually, entry-level officers who successfully complete a 6-month probationary period earn $44,587 to $51,268 per year!

This role is perfect for anyone with experience as a youth mentor, coach, role model, teacher, or sponsor. It is also a great career for those with academic backgrounds in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, Sociology, Counseling, and similar disciplines.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:

Our Officers provide direct care and constant supervision to at-risk youth. As members of our Operations Department, their primary duty is to assure the safety and security of each juvenile, yet this position is much more dynamic and interactive. Here, staff ensure youth are available for court hearings, monitor their progress while in detention, and assist them in changing criminal thinking.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Due to the nature of our role in the criminal justice system and our work with at-risk youth, Candidates MUST successfully complete all pre-employment requirements.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and have a high school diploma/GED to be eligible for employment.
