  • Processing bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in both the US and Canada, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supporting urgent payroll requests escalated by senior leadership, including off-cycle payments, adjustments, and other critical transactions.
  • Developing strong controls and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payroll with a focus on employee satisfaction.
  • Identifying, researching, and resolving payroll discrepancies quickly and effectively, implementing measures to prevent future issues.
  • Handling complex payroll transactions, such as pay adjustments for seconded and international employees, clothing allowances, tuition reimbursements, garnishments, and final payments.
  • Processing quarter-end and year-end pay and tax adjustments, including W-2C and T4 forms, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.
  • Staying current on new legislation and regulatory changes affecting payroll, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
  • Collaborating with HR Business partners to manage checks, approvals, and specific payrolls for terminations, bonuses, and other one-off payments.
  • Handling post-payroll reporting and processes, including resolving errors, uploading journals, and providing monthly reports to the Brands and Finance.
  • Supporting system implementations with thorough analysis and testing.
  • Ensuring the successful management of pension schemes and other benefit-related payments.
PAYROLL AND DATA MANAGEMENT
  • Ensure all payroll data is accurately entered and processed using the appropriate tools.
  • Manage advance payments, payment transfers, and the Childcare Voucher scheme.
  • Reviewing payroll processing systems to continuously improve efficiency and accuracy, ensuring all transactions are handled correctly.
  • Managing the payroll calendar and enforcing deadlines, ensuring all data is correctly entered into the payroll system and all processes are completed on time.
PAYROLL PROCESSING
  • Oversee payroll checks and approvals with HR Business partners.
  • Handle specific payrolls such as terminations, bonuses, and other payments.
  • Request exceptional payments and manage end-of-month payment transfers.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with brands to confirm changes and process last-minute payroll adjustments.
  • Produce and approve statutory and benefit provider payments, including HMRC remittances.
  • Administer pension schemes and ensure compliance with auto-enrollment requirements.
  • Implementing country regulations (e.g., salary, wage, tax, and contribution updates) and aligning Workday (WD) with these updates.
  • Acting as a key contact for brands, managing HRBP requests, prioritizing, and following up with external providers.
  • Building the payroll calendar based on specific process needs (e.g., salary reviews, mass inputs).
  • Handling off-cycle inputs (e.g., bonuses, extra payments, commissions) and coordinating with brands on process flows.
  • Matching payroll with Time & Attendance (T&A) inputs and managing employee expense submissions via tools like SAP Concur.
  • Reviewing payroll rejections, correcting errors, and communicating with brands before closure.
  • Ensuring collaboration with external providers for supporting payroll calculations and handling queries.
  • Managing payments for employee contributions to local pension and insurance funds.
  • Verifying bank transfers, managing anomalies, and correcting employee payment data before sending to finance/treasury.
  • Providing simulations to HR (e.g., labor costs, termination indemnities, expat tax simulations).
  • Acting as the key point of contact for internal and external audits or investigations.
  • Archiving payroll documentation in line with internal audit and local statutory requirements.
POST-PAYROLL REPORTING AND PROCESSING
  • Investigate and resolve payroll errors promptly.
  • Upload payroll data to TM1, JDE, and Workday, ensuring accuracy in all reports.
  • Stay current and up to date on new legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Crosscheck each other's work to enhance accuracy, identify errors before processing payroll.
  • Audit employees who work in NY but resides in non-commutable states.
  • Payroll Preview to Treasury.
  • Run the calculations in accordance with the defined rules, manage local taxes and social contributions, if any.
  • Run audit reports after payroll has been committed.
  • Reviewing stale dated checks.
  • Manage Kering Connect Ticketing System requests
  • Provide Finance with G/L and other reports
  • Review ACH Debits from Dayforce Tax Service
  • Employer Health Tax and/or Filing
WHO YOU ARE
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with queries, internal/external payroll reporting, and audit procedures.
  • Working knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to research and interpret payroll-related topics and adapt to new information and ideas.
  • Problem-solving skills and comfort working independently.
