Job DescriptionTHE SALVATION ARMYNORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS DIVISION OAKBROOK TERRACE CORPSPOSITION DESCRIPTIONPOSITION TITLE: Kettle Coordinator LOCATION/DEPT: Oakbrook Terrace CorpsREPORTS TO: Corps OfficersFLSA CATEGORY: Non-ExemptSTATUS TYPE: TPTOUTCOMES Interview and processing of hired bell ringers. Acts as a liaison between the hired bell ringers and Corps Officers along with the Business Administrator. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interviews, recruits, screens, and selection of bell ringing staff.
  • Process of bell ringer applications with DHQ.
  • Assists Kettle Administrator to coordinate and maintain bell ringing site schedules.
  • Work with bell ringers to resolve payroll discrepancies as needed.
  • Assists Kettle Administrator to ensure the daily route sheets are printed and distributed, if needed.
  • Field calls on the Bell Ringer hotline during working hours.
  • Prepare coffee and refreshments for bell ringers prior to the start of their shift.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSThis position reports to the Corps Officers.In contacts related to this position's duties, this individual acts as a representative of The Salvation Army and its mission. PERFORMANCE MEASURMENTS This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved. Timeliness and accuracy of accomplishing assigned goals will be reviewed. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
    • A High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid Driver's license/MVR clearance.

    • This individual will only commit Army resources that have been allocated or approved.
    • This individual will keep Corps Officers informed on all critical issues relating to their area of responsibility.
    • This individual will adhere to all policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
    • This position is required to do moderate physical work and must be able to lift 15 pounds.
    • The work environment for this position is the Corps office.
    • Must be able to drive.
    • Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters and maintains positive relationships with co-workers and supervisors. This would include but not be limited to such actions: resolution of conflicts in a positive manner; courteous treatment of staff, clients, and visitors; respect of others' property and person, professional and appropriate communication to and about co-workers, supervisors, and subordinates.
