We are growing! Flying Fish Brewing and Guilford Hall Brewing are ready to add a hard-working, dedicated new member to our growing team. We are seeking a self-motivated and forward-thinking team player to fill our Key Account/Distributor Manager position.

Position Summary

The Chain/Key Account Manager works with National and Regional Chain Decision Makers and appointed alcoholic beverage distributors to develop and build our brand within the given territory. This position requires minimal overnight travel and would ideally be located in the Pittsburgh market with the majority of travel within the state of PA and into Northeast Corridor.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the primary responsibilities of this role are:

· Manage National/Regional Chain Accounts – Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with buyers in national/regional chains, and distributors in the country.

· Develop annual budgets, business plans, monthly tactical business reviews, competitive pricing strategies, and surveys.

· Pre-Plan, communicate, and execute planned objectives with distributors partners and retail trade with key focus on achieving fair share of business, growth, and awareness.

· Generate programming in National/Regional Chains within the distributor network on new and existing brands.

· Target and track new accounts and product placements.

· Conduct Distributor ride-with on a regular basis to ensure programs and priorities are on-track, and to help identify new opportunities.

· Expectation of a minimum of 2 days in trade per week for account visits

· Work under the direction of the Director of Sales to meet monthly and quarterly sales goals.

Expectation Indicators

· Understands how to use VIP/Karma to track and manage all key sales leads.

· Provides market insight and recommendations against the target account list and update as needed with new account openings, new opportunities, etc.

· Tracks and reports on competitive activity and watches for market trends.

· Presents to and engages with distributor sales personnel at distributor sales meetings, while sharing upcoming priorities, events, and brand initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

The candidate must have:

· Minimum of 1-5 years' experience in Chain Account Sales in a related beer business or alcoholic beverage industry preferably in the Northeast.

· Proven track record of success in chain account environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Web-based reporting tools.

· Knowledge of and experience with Vermont Information Processing (VIP) a plus.

· Clean driving record and proof of automotive insurance.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomatic, persuasive, strong negotiating skills.

· Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills.

· Hands-on approach with can-do attitude; problem solving; resourceful; ensure constructive accountability for actions; collaborative but decisive.

Preference given to candidates with:

· Prior experience calling on Northeast based chains is preferred but not required.

· Knowledge of and experience with Vermont Information Processing (VIP) a plus.

Range $50,000- $70,000
