As a Key Account Manager for our Impact division, you will be on the front-line providing secondary and contract packaging solutions to our valued customers and prospects, offering the wide array Golden West provides as a total solution manufacturer. As a key member of our Impact team, you will have an opportunity to make an impact on U.S. and global customers in the cosmetics, wine/alcohol, and CPG industries. We currently serve many of the most prestigious brands within these business segments and are expanding our team as we seek to continue to grow this division. In our inclusive team environment, you will manage existing accounts, identify new prospects, collaborate with team members on providing creative and innovative solutions to the market, cultivate customer relationships leveraging our customer-first approach, prospecting and providing solutions for new customers, partnering with management to complete budget planning, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure sales strategy execution.

This is a remote opportunity, without a specific territory calling on potential customers within the business segment both domestically and internationally.

What Youll Do:

New Customer Development:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, market research, and networking.
  • Conduct sales presentations, pitches, and product demonstrations to showcase our packaging solutions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted lead generation campaigns.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements to secure new business partnerships.

Existing Customer Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing customers, building strong relationships and understanding their needs.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and account reviews to assess customer satisfaction, gather feedback, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Provide proactive customer support, address any issues or concerns promptly, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including customer service, production, and logistics, to coordinate efforts and deliver on customer expectations.

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
  • Forecast sales projections, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports to management.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, product developments, and emerging technologies in the packaging sector.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance our product offerings, improve processes, and deliver added value to customers.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing our company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.

What Youll Need

  • Proven, consistent track record of successful selling in the secondary and/or contract packaging segment, ideally in the cosmetics, wine/spirits, and/or CPG verticals
  • Strong organizational skills and discipline, attention to small details
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, dependability, and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability to work in an inclusive environment with respect for all on our team.
  • Effective sales skills using a data-based, solution sales approach.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer Focused mentality and approach to business.

Education, Work Experience, Personal Attributes

  • B.S./A. in business administration or related field highly desired.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and solutions with a proven track record of success desired.
  • 5+ years of experience in the packaging industry desired.

The total compensation for this role will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
