Job Description:
As a Key Account Manager, you will develop trusting relationships with one large client or a portfolio of major clients. You will be expected to build customer loyalty and expand relationships with existing stakeholders by continuously proposing solutions that meet mutual objectives. You will oversee the product portfolio, pricing & margins, the over-arching sales plan, as well as collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure correct and timely delivery. Success in this role will be measured by sales targets, account penetration, margins, and growth.Responsibilities:Work with major customers to determine product categories and mixNegotiate customer specific and core product pricing & programsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of productsTravel to customer headquarters and retail locations to further develop and foster trusting relationshipsIdentify Good, Better, Best product alternatives in all categoriesIncrease sales through greater penetration within the account(s) while also prospecting and building business with new locations or divisionsAccurately answer questions regarding products and their applicationsDemonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfactionImplement and manage pricing strategies within all accountsWork with manufacturers' representatives to sell promoted itemsRequirements:Bachelor's degree strongly preferred5+ years previous selling experience preferred, ideally in the grocer, food sales or food processing industryRequires outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers and external contacts.Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.Previous experience with IBM AS400 operating system highly desired.So, what are you waiting for?
