- Provide supervision of children
- Implementation of planned activities daily
- Maintain professional communication with parents/guardians
- Maintaining the necessary records as outlined in the employeehandbook
- Manage student behavior through a consistent and fair discipline policy
- Attend staff meetings, and scheduled work days
- Assist students with special needs
Communication
- Maintains positive working relationships with coworkers, program directors' and other school personnel
- Maintain confidentiality in regards to student/family information
- Communicate with director in a professional manner
Program Operations
- Abide by all guidelines and policies set forth by the Board of Education
- Abide by all guidelines and policies of the program as outlined in the Grandview Heights Schools Kids' Club Employee Handbook
- Set up and clean up assigned spaces
- Maintain organization of supplies and all storage areas
- Perform assigned duties and accept direction from Child Care Director
Professional Skills
- Complete required courses to meet the Ohio Department of Education's training requirements along with Grandview Heights Schools assigned trainings.
- Demonstrate flexibility and openness to new ideas in childcare practices and philosophy
Physical Demands
- Demonstrates a full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, swim, or otherwise fully participate in all activities
- Supervises and interacts with children outdoors for extended periods of time in varied weather conditions
- Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies
- Must be able to walk to multiple locations in Grandview Heights with students when required.
- Maintains mental and physical alertness and appropriate level of energy at all times.
