Our District serves over 2600 students in one high school, an alternative high school, one middle school, and three elementary schools and employs approximately 160 teachers and 200 other employees to meet the needs of our students. Vicksburg Schools has a strong sense of community, demonstrated in the commitment to providing excellent schools and education for our children. VCS Before and After School Child Care Program (Kids Klub) is looking for creative and high-energy individuals who enjoy working with children. Applicants must be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. Must be willing to get certified in CPR/First Aid and participate in 16 clock hours of annual training. Must also meet one of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a child-related field.
  • Associate degree in a child-related field AND 480 hours of documented experience.
  • Montessori credential with 12 semester hours in a child-related field AND 480 hours of documented experience.
  • Michigan school-age credential with 12 semester hours in a child-related field AND 480 hours of documented experience.
  • Child development associate (CDA) with 12 semester hours in a child-related field AND 480 hours of documented experience.
  • 60 semester hours from and accredited college or university with 12 semester hours in a child-related field AND 480 hours of documented experience.
  • High school diploma/GED with 6 semester hours in a child-related field AND 2880 of documented experience.
  • Job duties are as follows: plans and coordinates appropriate activities for children; ensures that DHS licensing rules are adhered to at all times; collects weekly fees and schedules from parents and maintains student accounts; provides supervision of aides and reports any concerns to the Director; prepares the monthly snack calendar and orders appropriate snacks.
