Job Title: Kit Assembler

Location : Watervliet, NY

Pay Rate : $17/hour

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Kit Assembler to join our dynamic team. The Kit Assembler will be responsible for assembling and packaging components into finished kits according to precise specifications. This role requires a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety, ensuring that all kits are accurately assembled, packaged, and ready for distribution to customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment and possess excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of Kits: Assemble components into finished kits based on provided instructions and specifications, ensuring all parts are included and meet quality standards.

  • Packaging and Labeling: Package completed kits for shipment, applying labels and ensuring correct inventory documentation.

  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure each kit meets quality standards and adheres to company guidelines, identifying and addressing any defects or issues before packaging.

  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, keeping track of parts and materials used in kit assembly, and report any shortages or discrepancies to the inventory manager.

  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies to minimize risks and ensure efficiency.

  • Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork for each kit assembly, including count sheets and assembly logs, to track progress and ensure accurate record-keeping.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments (e.g., inventory, production) to meet deadlines and fulfill customer orders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback and suggestions to improve assembly processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts and components.

  • Basic math skills for counting and tracking inventory.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing or assembly environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and work with hands for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working with small parts and tools.
