**Position Overview:**
The Kitchen Assistant's role is to provide support and work as an integrated team member to the entire Nutrition program. This position is involved in the daily production of all meals made in *the Loonin Family Kitchen* and collaborates on Food preparation, packaging, and sanitation. One must maintain a valid food handlers' card at all times. This position maintains kitchen cleanliness and follows all food safety guidelines.
**Responsibilities****:**
* Follow monthly menu for congregate and home delivered meals in compliance with Title III-D
* Provide support for volunteers and interns
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Follow food safety guidlines
Position Requirements **Skills/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:**
* Experience in food service industry, customer service, and kitchen preparation
* The ability to cook and stand for prolonged periods of time.
* Working knowledge of the English language.
* Serve Safe Certification desired
