Job Type Full-time Description UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a full time (32hr) Kitchen Attendant who will be responsible for attending to the dietary needs of retirement home residents under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in preparation of meals and serves residents, with special attention to special diet needs, reports resident dietary concerns to Nurse or Resident Attendant on duty; operates kitchen equipment i.e.: mixer, slicer; prepares and serves beverages and evening nourishment's to residents per licensing requirements
  • Prepares, sets, and cleans dining room at each meal serving. Washes all dishes and pans related to meal preparation and serving; as well as maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage areas, equipment, preparation areas and emptying garbage into proper collection area on all shifts and clean receptacles before reusing
  • Assist with receipt and stocking of all food deliveries, maintains storage area and restocks as required
  • Demonstrates quality customer service by respecting client's rights, respectful communication, demonstrating an understanding of the physical, emotional and developmental needs of the client and proper ways to work with the population served.
  • Demonstrates adherence to universal precautions, OSHA standards and infection control policies and procedures at all times
  • Conduct security checks on all floors, doors, windows, and equipment; participate in required emergency drills and assists in emergencies as needed; also partake in required in-services, staff meetings and conferences as required or assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with additional training courses
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training in food service industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
