Position Type: Food Services Date Posted: 9/18/2024 Location: Twin Lakes School Corporation District:   Twin Lakes School Corporation - website    Twin Lakes School Corporation/Traveling Kitchen Manager Reports to: Food Service Director/Assistant Food Service Director Summary: Assists the Food Service Director in all areas of kitchen management for ALL School Cafeterias. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Managing all functions of the School Cafeteria. Attend appropriate meetings and ongoing professional trainings. Manage daily cash reports from School cash registers; solve problems. Do daily production records for School assigned. Able to assist in food production, service, and cleanup daily. Understand food receiving and food sorting. Help maintain high health inspection reports, and correct any deficiencies. Ability to obtain ServSafe certification. Assist with annual training of food service employees to fulfill state requirements. Computer proficient in Office Software (Word and Excel), Internet, and electronic mail systems. Production experience to write recipes according to standards. Ability to learn the free/reduced application process. Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with staff, student/parent information. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Ability to approach others in a tactful manner. Ability to follow policies and procedures. Ability to follow instructions and respond to directives, and take responsibility for own actions. Any other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, lift, use hands, reach, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee may occasionally climb ladder or stairs. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment is a standard cafeteria/kitchen environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high depending on the time of day. The employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, work near moving parts, toxic chemicals (cleaners), fumes, airborne chemicals, extreme cold and extreme heat (ovens, dishwasher).
