About Lick Honest Ice CreamsWe're Lick Honest Ice Creams and have been producing the finest, locally sourced, seasonally inspired ice creams in Austin since 2011! We work hard and get rave reviews from media around the country. We are rapidly expanding and looking for outgoing, happy, responsible, and positive individuals who love ice cream as much as we do to join our ice cream shop family! Job Summary:No late nights! No busy dinner services! Join our team at Lick Honest Ice Creams as a Kitchen Porter and be a part of creating artisanal ice creams that celebrate the flavors and culture of Texas. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen to ensure smooth operations. Hours will be Monday through Thursday, 10am-8pm with a one hour lunch break (half of it paid!).Responsibilities:- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, sheet trays and pans, and putting away once dry.- Support the kitchen team in food preparation by chopping fruits, baked goods and zesting fruits as needed.- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored.- Help with receiving, storing and organizing deliveries.- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards.- Take out trash, break down boxes, and take initiative on cleaning & organizational projects.Requirements:- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.- Knowledge of basic food handling procedures.- A friendly demeanor is key!
