Posting Details Position Information RHS Job Title Kitchen Sanitation Job Description Wage: $13.00 per hour Are you a person who is customer focused, hardworking, a team player and dependable? If you answered Yes, then we want you! As a Kitchen Sanitation Assistant, you will be responsible for the operation of the dish room area and cleaning up the kitchen after banquet events. Typical duties may include, but not limited to:
- This position does not have a set schedule and times vary depending on the needs of the company
- Operation of the dish machine and three compartment sink
- Check water temperature and soap concentrations, adjusting as necessary to maintain sanitation standards.
- Preform periodic cleaning of dish machine, walls, ceilings, doors, shelves and sinks
- Scraping, soaking, washing, drying and storing of dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans and cooking sheets and other items.
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors
- It is your job to make sure the guests of the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center receive the most outstanding customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
- Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Must be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in one place.
