We are seeking an energetic, skilled Kitter in Arkansas City, KS.

SHIFT: 2nd Shift-10am-6pm We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week. This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

Job Summary

Kitters main functions will be to regularly select, organize, measure, and stack individual ingredients to be used by Production. Safely operate all material handling equipment. Accurately complete all associated paperwork and maintain clean work area consistent with company standards.

COMPENSATION

The expected compensation range for this position is: $15.75-$16.75 + .25 shift differential when worked.

Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

Coordinate GSF Quality activities and operations to meet objective for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak

Participate in formulating and administering division's short- and long-range goals and objectives for business growth

Ensures integration of safety, food safety and quality into every facet of all activities

* Maintain and promote safe practices and procedures

* Determine how many of a specific kit need to be build based on the Production schedule

* Look up the correct amount of ingredients using the kit MO's

* Using a bendi, locate and pu8tll the ingredients in accordance with the FEFO (First Expired First Out)

* Regularly check work for accuracy

* Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary work environment

* Set up Kitting room in the best way to ensure the safest work environment

* Accurately keep track of lot numbers

* Determine how many full bags, boxes. Or jugs of the ingredients required by each kit

* Stack full bag, boxes, and jugs on plastic pallet for each kit

* Determine how may partial bags of each ingredient are needed, determine what each partial should weigh

* Inspect scoops needed for cleanliness, fill our pre-op inspection log. Re-sanitize scoops as needed

* Accurately weigh partial bags

* Neatly and accurately fill our MO paperwork

* Tag each ingredient on every kit ensuring barcodes are crossed out so they cannot be scanned

* Issue and receive each kit based on the information recorded on the MO

* Determine the quantity of the unused ingredients and accurately tag them

* Neatly wrap and put away each kit

* Put up the unused ingredients

* Take care of scrap pallets and used slip sheets

* Clean and sanitize Kitting room and all used scoops and/or tools

* Regularly verify physical inventory in ingredient rack locations with quantity in the system for accuracy

* Regularly foam Kitting room to ensure a sanitary food handling area

* Perform bin verifications as needed

* Empty leakers as needed

Qualifications

Employment Requirements:

* High School / GED required

* Specialized training in forklift operations preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to accurately use a scale, calculator, and other measuring devices

* Communicate with all supervisors regarding any quality or production issues

* Ensures full compliance with all quality assurance standards, especially good housekeeping and overall cleanliness of products and work areas

* Performs other duties as assigned.
