How You Will Make Contributions That Matter - Responsible for the quality and appearance of the product
- Knock cheese out into brine tanks at appropriate temperature
- Conduct aseptic cheese sampling
- Ensure tank space is being managed efficiently
- Knock cheese out at an adequate speed to ensure makeroom does not run out of clean empty racks
- Salt all cheese that is knocked out during the shift
- Clean and sanitize handjacks every 4 hours
- Must be able to appropriately handle and use cleaning chemicals and conduct concentration checks
- Other duties as assigned
You Are Best Suited For The Role If You.... - High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be proficient with forklift safe operation.
- Knowledge of production inventory control operations.
- Proficient in use of the computer.
- Must have a solid organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manipulate, lift and position heavy equipment
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl, occasionally climb steps and safety ladders, continuous walking and standing
- Must be able to work in a cold environment less than 60 degrees
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Requires regular attendance
