Job Description:

KNOWLEDGEABLE DIESEL MECHANIC

Diesel mechanics are responsible for performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles. They are fluent in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. . Diesel mechanics also complete repair or service reporting, order and inventory necessary parts, fabricate necessary parts or equipment, develop and execute service or repair processes, and provide road call or emergency service calls.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Trade school certification or additional vocational training preferred; high school diploma or GED required
  • 2-5 years of experience required for all levels; education can replace experience in many cases.
  • Driver's license required; CDL Class A or B required in some cases; ASE certifications preferred in some cases.
