POSITION SUMMARY The Shop Coordinator works closely with the Shop Manager and buyers to ensure seamless execution of critical back-office tasks including creation of the schedule and all shop-related signage. The coordinator also supports the associate team on the sales floor, assists in register and product training, and provides coverage for the registers and floor, as needed, during especially busy and/or short-staffed periods. This role requires flexibility and the willingness to pivot when needed. ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES - Monitor Kripalu Shop Email inbox for HubSpot Forms. - Update Program Buying Spreadsheet with new submissions, books ordered and received, book signings and all information needed for programs. - Create and post weekly staff schedule and work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure all staff availability and time off requests are addressed. - Organize and create all signage for book signings, trunk shows, special product information, and any other signage needs, as assigned. - Coordinate with Manager and Supervisors to ensure all programs and events have appropriate displays. Also providing new information from Buyers if there\'s any. - Have a thorough knowledge of upcoming programs, including dates, product requests, and all other pertinent information to prepare product and merchandise accordingly, as well as monitoring products on-hand for upcoming programs, ensuring all required products have been ordered. - Research upcoming programs to determine if books should be ordered for presenters who have not submitted HubSpot Forms. (Instructions will be provided) - Attending weekly BEO meetings to keep up to date with programs in the past and future and to answer any questions other departments may have. - Keep close communication with Program coordinators to address any situations that are programs or product/related. - Reach out directly to presenters when necessary to notify them of any discrepancies with orders, arrivals, or products in general. - Monitor with presenters for any consignment orders as needed. - Other duties may be assigned. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail. - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Ability to multi-task. - Ability to pivot to different tasks, as needed. - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office business tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. - Team driven and willing to prioritize the best interests of the Shop. - Neatness, punctuality, and excellent communication skills are essential. - Availability to work on the weekends. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours. - Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis. - Ability to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, walk, kneel, push, pull and twist repeatedly. Open availability, including weekends and holidays, morning and night shifts.
