Inc. is seeking a KYC Team Lead/Supervisor to join our Compliance Team in our New York office.Responsibilities:Supervise and support a team of 3-6 KYC Officers in their daily dutiesPerform second review/4-eyed checks on all foreign and high-risk accounts during both onboarding and periodic/event driven reviewsPerform quality control reviews of a sample of each assigned KYC officer's monthly workConduct targeted training and professional development for assigned team membersAssist with User-acceptance testing and technological improvements as they relate to KYCCompile and present KPI/monthly metrics to senior managementUpdate KYC processes based on changes in the regulatory environment as well as best practicesAct as first point of escalation for negative news, political exposure, and sanctionsLiaise with the business daily to ensure smooth KYC processingProvide guidance on complex KYC matters to the Business and AML team members to meet regulatory requirementsComplete reports that act as additional controls to ensure the firm is meeting all of its regulatory obligations related to BSA, USA Patriot Act, and OFACSit in on new hire interviews and train junior team membersQualifications:Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) preferredBi-lingual Spanish / English is preferredExperience with LexisNexis and Actimize a plusOutside the box thinker, utilizing multiple documents/sources to meet regulatory requirementsWorks well with a team but is a self-starter, can manage individual workload, and detail orientedAbility to communicate effectively both over the phone and in writingHandle complicated, time sensitive situations and works well under pressureKnowledgeable of the laws applicable to money laundering, including: Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT act, US Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirementsExperience with Latin American corporate structures / complex ownership involving multiple jurisdictionsUnderstanding of OFAC sanctions exposure risk in LATAM, especially Venezuela including risk mitigation by reliance on applicable general licensesRequirements:Bachelor's DegreeExpert knowledge of reviewing KYC documentation for corporations, foreign financial institutions, trusts, PHC/PICs and complex ownership structuresWell versed in FINCEN CDD requirementsAbility to think critically, analyze situations, and provide an assessment to keep management informedThe aptitude to be an agent for positive changeComfortable to regularly train a team of KYC officers and branch personnelCompensation:For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00.
