POSITION SUMMARY: Assists in the provision of patient care by performing professional nursing duties established by policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY:
  • Performs direct patient care.
  • Supervises direct patient care personnel.
  • Medication administration and documentation.
  • Treatments as ordered by the MD, including but not limited to wound care.
  • Oxygen therapy.
  • Follows the individual patient care plan.
  • Recognizes any change in patient condition and implements appropriate nursing care and action for the patient.
  • Participates in regular staff meetings and staff development as required.
  • Consults with Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing and other disciplines to provide optimal care.
  • Nursing documentation and report.
  • Communicates with patients, families and MDs.
QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Valid in good standing LPN license through the State of Arizona Board of Nursing.
  • Current fingerprint clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
  • Able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours
  • Lift up to 40 pounds
  • Prolong standing andwalking
