As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our new Ladson, SC facility will produce a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.The Lab Assembler will be responsible for the rapid manufacturing of the consumable products used in our Trace detection systems. This is a repetitive manufacturing environment with a handful of variations.In this role the assembler must be able to read and interpret associated documentation while preparing raw materials for various steps of the process.Some of these steps will include washing, baking, measuring, and mixing of required materials.This person must be detailed oriented and safety conscious to maintain proper ratios and safe handling of the product.Once all required steps are complete samples will be tested and submitted to quality control for verification. The final step will be packaging into small containers with serialization and lot tracking applied.The ideal candidate will be a positive, energetic, self-motivating individual who is ready to learn and contribute to the Leidos mission.Primary Responsibilities:Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and schematicsUtilize various tools to measure, weigh, and mix raw materialsProduce samples, test articles, and finished goodsRoutine cleaning and maintenance of baking and mixing equipmentReviewing and monitoring raw materials for accuracy and shelf-life complianceProper handling of hazardous material to include storage and disposalHandling of materials to include removal and replacement of 55 gallon drumsUtilize a combination of basic hand, power, pneumatic toolsProvide assembly status and feedback for changes or improvementsComplete build records and documentation as requiredConduct quality checks on own work and may execute buddy checks on others workMaintain workspace cleanliness and organization utilizing 5S methodologiesFollow manufacturing guidelines and proceduresAdhere to company regulatory and compliance policiesParticipate in cross-training activitiesRequired Qualifications:2+ years' relevant experienceHS Diploma or equivalentMust have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US Citizenship required)Able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to tolerate potential dust and odors (PPE provided as necessary)Average computer skills used for daily employee taskCompetencies:Attention to detail and quality consciousDrive and ambition to execute and complete work in timely mannerPersonal sense of integrity, trust, and respectStrong interpersonal skills used to set and maintain positive cultureThe Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team has developed a suite of integrated solutions for aviation, ports, borders, and critical infrastructure customers around the world.
