Job Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Lab Manager in preparing labs for all Chemistry Lab and Physics Lab classes. An additional responsibility is to keep the labs clean and orderly. Specific duties include setting up equipment and supplies per laboratory class standard operating procedures; maintaining the lab supply inventory; preparing chemicals and mixing solutions; cleaning of equipment, instruments and work surfaces; and other related duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required, must be 18 or older. Candidates must be motivated and reliable.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Post-secondary coursework in Chemistry including CHM 120 &130 strongly desired.

Physical Demands:

Lifting, bending, stooping and standing required. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Work Hours: 5 - 20 hours per week; flexible schedule with work hours to be determined by the Lab Manager. Posting Date 10/17/2024 Closing Date: Special Instructions to Applicants:
