The laboratory is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).Preferred QualificationsRole PurposePerforms non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.ResponsibilitiesPerform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.Minimum RequirementsEducationHigh School Diploma or GEDExperienceNo ExperienceSupervisor ExperienceNo ExperiencePreferred RequirementsExperience
