Responsibilities
The Laboratory Technical Coordinator functions as a professional who has evidence of advanced technical knowledge within their assigned area of the laboratory. Oversees, coordinates and participates in quality assurance, performance improvement, laboratory education, new employee training and proficiency testing when assigned
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or Physical Science
- OR
- Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician
- Required: ASCP or equivalent required.
- Certification must be maintained without lapse during employment.
- If certification does lapse, job will be downgraded to Medical Laboratory Scientist (non-certified) or Medical Laboratory Technician (non-certified) until certification is reinstated.
- Required: Current knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques and principles is required.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Preferred: >5 years of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician, Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Scientist within a clinical laboratory.
