JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Behrend, School of Science is seeking applicants for a full-time life sciences lab coordinator who has demonstrated experience working in science laboratories. The lab coordinator is responsible for coordinating operational activities in research and instructional laboratories. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring laboratory security, efficiency, and quality control; serving as safety officer; assisting with planning labs, experiments, and research projects; providing instruction and support to students; contributing to research project advancement; ensuring equipment and material availability; maintaining relationships with agencies, contractor, vendors; coordinating operational activities in life sciences research or instructional laboratories; providing support services to researchers, faculty, students, and technicians. The hours for this position will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This position requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus at least 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
