Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Lab Manager to work in N&HS. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. You will report to the Department Manager.
You will monitor research operations, facility operations, range operations and related oversight of planning, maintenance, modifications, and space allocations for ranges and facilities located with national and homeland security research capabilities.
Responsibilities Include:
* Verify that activities conducted in facilities and ranges integrated safety management and regulatory requirements. Ensure training requirements and other prerequisites to conducting safe research operations are met.
* Advise on all aspects of safety, quality and efficiency associated with the safe conduct of research in assigned national and homeland security laboratories and ranges.
* Coordinate simultaneous operations as well as complex/facility capability upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
* Ensure ranges and laboratories comply with environmental, waste, disposition of materials standards.
* Develop and integrate laboratory and range schedules and plans and ensure risks / hazards are appropriately managed.
* Regularly monitor laboratory and range operations, identify areas for improvement and initiate applicable reports.
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in technical or science related field and 12 years, Master's degree in technical or science related field and 8 years experience, or PhD in technical or science related field and 6 years experience
* Level 4 - You must have a BS and 9 years, MS and 6 years, Ph. D and 4 years of experience.
* Level 5 - You must have a BS and 14 years, MS and 8 years, Ph. D and 6 years of experience.
* Must be experienced in nuclear operations, radiological controls, industrial power systems, scientific research and development, andmechanical material handling.
* Experience in BEA Conduct of Research and DOE reporting requirements.
* Must be able to qualify and maintain proficiency as a radiation worker.
* Must be familiar with NEPA requirements and processes
* This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

* The pay range for this position is: Level 4 ($91,008 - $186,588) / Level 5 ($109,260 - $223,908). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
