3 month extendable contract

Part Time - this role will initially be for twenty hours per week

Ideally looking for a student who is looking for a part-time role and gain some experience

The schedule can be fairly flexible

$18 - $25 per hr

The lab research coordinator assists in the management and execution of in vivo studies, focusing on supporting senior team members with the day-to-day activities of research. This role involves assisting with the preparation and maintenance of studies, responsibility for some basic animal care tasks, data entry, tissue collection and maintaining accurate records under the guidance of more experienced staff. This position is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of biology research and a keen interest in gaining more hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.

• Tube prepping (labeling and organizing) for tissue collection
• Assist with tissue collection (weighing and recording)
• Organize and properly store collected samples keep a sample inventory up to date
• Maintaining animal colonies
• Keep research space stocked up with in vivo supplies
• Keep inventory of subjects

Requirements:

• Currently completing a Bachelor Degree in a scientific field - required
• Must have laboratory experience
• Experience in a growing, biotech, startup environment preferred
• Must have excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying information in a clear and thorough manner
• Must have extraordinary attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills
• Must have a demonstrated history of timeline-driven delivery
• Must be able to work independently or with a team
