Position Summary: Plans and coordinates all functions within their assigned Laboratory area including testing, training, scheduling instrument maintenance and proficiency testing, maintaining appropriate level of supplies related to their assigned area. Ensures that services are of the best quality, cost contained and carried out in an expeditious manner. Responsible for recognizing results or problems which require referral to the Laboratory Pathologist.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION
* Minimum: AAS in Medical Technology or scientific discipline.
* Preferred: BA/BS in Medical Technology or scientific discipline or BA/BS with a MT/MLS Certification through ASCP or AMT.
EXPERIENCE
* Minimum Experience: 3 years Clinical Laboratory. Preferred Experience: 4 years Clinical Laboratory
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
* MLT or MT (ASCP) or equivalent
