R&D Lab Technician Job Description:

The R&D Lab Technician Skincare is expected to execute assigned laboratory work of increasing complexity under decreasing levels of supervision and be meticulous in follow up and providing updates. He/She/They will learn to make laboratory batches and understand lab equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Conducts & records data on more complex experiments with excellence.

Proficient use & maintenance of more complex equipment.

Conducts routine stability testing (visc, pH, microscope, etc) on various types of products.

Documents & notes any unexpected observations.

Additional Job Specifications:

• Experience: Hands on lab skills, knowledge of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals(or GHS) for workplace chemicals, GMP skills, proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook etc), operation of lab equipment such as, pH Meter, scale, viscometer, microscope, and mixers/blender.
• Light to medium lifting - pails and boxes 20lbs or less.
• May require long hours of standing when conducting product testing or filling samples.
• Able to cope in a demanding fast pace stressful laboratory environment.
• Maintain a clean laboratory working environment.
