QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements

Not required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Education:
Education must be obtained which is sufficient to allow certification under one of the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) OR Medical Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Certifying Agencies' examination routes. Must meet Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) requirements to perform highly complex testing.
Note: Certifying Agencies include but are not limited to the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC), American Medical Technologist (AMT) Certification, and American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB) Board of Registry (ABOR). As long as these are met, any exam may be taken. Additionally, any regulatory agency personnel standards, which are applicable to the position, must be met.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
Additionally, at least one (1) of the four (4) years of experience in the area to coordinate for all areas except Flow Cytometry and Molecular which require MT level of education with four years of experience with one year in Flow Cytometry or Molecular.

Technician Certification (MLT) OR Technologist/Scientist (MT/MLS) Certification

Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
