If so, salary range: NoInterview Process: initial phone screening then onsite interviewThe main responsibilities for the position are fermenter preparation, assembly, medium preparation, fermentation monitoring, sampling, sample processing, DNA extraction and sequencing preparation.Fermentation Responsibilities include:Clean, setup, maintain and operate bench-scale fermentersFermenter sampling and data loggingPrepare media and stock solutions in support of fermentation experimentsMonitoring fermentation process, report deviations and observations to senior team membersPerforms other laboratory housekeeping tasks as assignedAnalytics Responsibilities include:Prepare fermentation samples to transfer to analytics teamCommunicate with team members for schedule of sampling and sample processingPrepare reagents for sample processingMicrobiome Responsibilities include:Conduct DNA extraction and sequencing preparationQualifications/Experience:B.Sor Associate's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related fieldPrevious work experience in Biotechnology highly desirableExperience using standard lab equipment (e.g., pH meter, stir plate)Understanding of biology and microbiology techniques preferredDisplay strong attention to detail, and strictly follow all safety and lab regulationsMust be able to lift 50 pounds of weightThe ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize multiple work activities with varying deadlinesA familiarity with common chemistry laboratory equipment such as pipettes, volumetric glassware and working in a chemical hoodExperience in multi-step sample preparation proceduresExperience in following written protocols, without deviation, to ensure reproducibility of dataDemonstrates proficiency in the use of basic computer skills including MS Office platforms such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
