Position Overview:
The Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our research and testing operations by performing various technical tasks, ensuring accurate and timely results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze samples using various laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Conduct routine and specialized tests according to established protocols and procedures.
- Document and interpret test results, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Prepare and manage laboratory reagents, chemicals, and supplies.
- Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members and communicate findings to supervisors or researchers.
- Participate in quality control and assurance activities to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory equipment or procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate s degree in Laboratory Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; Bachelor s degree preferred.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, GLP, CLIA) is an advantage.
