Job Description/Duties Responsible for operating the can machine to ensure labels are applied to the cans properly.
- Ensures the proper labels are placed into the magazine of the labeling machine.
- Operates the can machine to ensure labels are applied to the cans properly. Requires set up and making some minor adjustments.
- Inspects cans between the labeling and casing machines and removes mislabeled or damaged containers.
- Informs the Supervisor or Lead person of any can container damage.
- Adds glue to the machine (lap paste and hot pick-up) when necessary.
- Maintains continuous flow to ensure continuous production.
- Assists in filling out the necessary paperwork (IC cards, downtime, etc.).
- Responsible for physically lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Should not leave assigned line unless given permission by the Supervisor or Lead person.
- Reports any mechanical or safety problems to Supervisor or Lead person immediately.
- Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices (clean floors, equipment, etc.).
- Adheres to the Company's plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
- Adheres to common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required.Reports any safety issues immediately to Supervisor.
- Responsible for the execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to:GMP's, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, etc.
