Job Type Full-time Description Job Title: Labeling Line Lead Department: Operations Reports To: Labeling Supervisor or Distribution Manager Position Type: Full Time Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift - 5:30am until 2:00pm, Monday thru Friday with O/T Wage: $19.00 per hour Purpose of Position This position is responsible for leading a manufacturing line to ensure meeting quality, cost, delivery, safety and other goals established by the Production Supervisor/Manager. - Meet established hourly production standards and escalate all production issues per SOP.
- Review and understand the customer's work instructions prior to working on any assigned orders.
- Understand all procedures for operating machines.
- Manage crew members to meet maximum efficiency goals
Quality:
- Ensure and document that product is packed correctly and that it meets the customers requirements (product label placement, labeling quality, packaging materials, product code, date code, film quality and placement, overall appearance of finished product, case label accuracy and placement) at the beginning of each shift, new production (batch) runs, batch changes, and every hour.
Documentation
- Accurately complete associated paperwork (including customer required batch documentation), Coding Doc Sheet, Label Vision System Verification Document, Case Packer Line Clearance and Finished Goods inspection, Change over Check List, Tray size change over, Tray to Box Change Over,Dud, Dent tooling and code sure documentation are submitted at end of shift.
- Keep down time database updated accurately. Initiative:
- Immediately report any issue relating to personnel, productivity, equipment, and/or quality to your supervisor / manager.
- Make recommendations to improve efficiency in the daily processes.
Safety:
- Understand all procedures for operating machines
- Report all incidents/accidents or unsafe acts immediately to your supervisor/ manager.
- Promote safety awareness with your teammates and provide safety suggestions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure all safety guards are in place on all equipment.
- Ensure all safety policies, practices and SOPs are being followed.
