Job Description:
Riverpoint medical in Portland, Oregon is looking to hire a Labeling Specialist. At Riverpoint you will be part of the process that brings great technology to Medical, Dental, and Veterinary markets. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of premium medical devices. Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies. Riverpoint Labeling Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing labels in support of new product development, product support, product registration, quality-related labeling issues, business initiatives, and compliance activities. Coordinates with various functions on content development, global regulatory requirements, and operational tasks related to the design, development, implementation, review, and approval of all labeling for medical devices. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support sustaining initiatives and new product introductions, working within cross-functional teams to ensure labeling meets all specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and develop unique product labels, publications, and packaging using graphic design software.
  • Develop packaging design for private label customers, aligning to brand standards.
  • Proof product labels to verify the correctness and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide customer support regarding requests from information and documentation.
  • Provides support to R&D engineers for implementation of labeling for new product development or changes resulting from product/process related changes.
  • Create proofs for Riverpoint Medical products following specific product and/or customer specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date, organized records of large quantities of files.
  • Manage translation needs as required for product specifications and documentation.
  • Write and route Document Change Orders (DCOs) for documents owned by the Creative department.
  • Support concurrent projects, coordinating with various teams and adhering to timelines and compliance standards.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
  • Proficient experience in Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with graphic design software preferred, or ability to obtain this knowledge swiftly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in managing changing priorities.
  • 1 - 3 years of labeling experience, preferably in medical device.
  • Experience with BarTender, GSI Data Hub, and ROBAR preferred.
  • Experience with development and implementation of labeling for an FDA regulated global medical device manufacturer or distributor preferred.
