POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: RESPONSIBILITIES: Compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), standards,regulations, and rules Direct participation in EHS training, safety observations, and hazardidentification Seeks and proactively implements Continuous Improvement (CI) activities throughteamwork and CI process participation Proactively monitor and assume responsibility for product quality during allphases of operations Perform set-up, operate, optimize, and troubleshoot Label equipment tomanufacture product according to quality and productivity requirements Preparation, testing, and application of adhesives, inks, releases, or otherchemistry to support operations Ensures that equipment runs in accordance with operational standards, goals,and expectations Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed Ensure the correct raw materials are being processed Logs and posts production information into the computer and/or requiredproduction logs Provide communication daily with other departments including planning,maintenance, leadership, HR, and other coworkers. Maintain 6S housekeeping standards of work zones and walkways Support packing and material movement tasks as needed Directly supports training and cross training of other coworkers Support development and roll out of Standard Work including Standard OperatingProcedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), One Point Lessons, (OPL) and TrainingDocumentation Perform other duties/tasks as assignedREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Two or more years printing experience preferred Good mechanical ability Ability to use rulers, gauges, calipers, and other testing equipment. Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to working withmoving equipment Effective communications and interpersonal skills to work as a teammember Ability to work independently and make good decisions without constantsupervision Well-developed work habits to ensure smooth machine operation and minimaldowntime Proficiency with computers; ability to learn and use additional programs Ability to distinguish differences between finished product compared to productspecifications Ability to identify maintenance needs and ensure that all required preventivemaintenance is performed Ability to lift products up to 50 lbs. and some over that amount Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, extend, lean, and maneuver around equipment atvarying heights.
