Labor and Delivery
: Job Details :

This position requires working 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays if needed. All requested time off (RTO) must be denoted upon submission. The contract is for 13 weeks with a work schedule of 35.25 hours per week. The primary unit is Labor & Delivery, with work required every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP Certifications required
• FHM certification is required
• RNs expected to scrub for C Sections
• Must have experience in Newborn Care, Triage, and Charge
• Must have EPIC charting experience
• First-time travelers accepted

Patient Mix/Skill Requirements

• High risk antepartum
• Laboring patients
• Diabetic pregnant patients
• Magnesium management
• C-section and post-operative care
• Postpartum/couplet/newborn care
• Triage

The unit includes 8 labor beds, 2 operating rooms, a 3-bay recovery area, and a 4-bay triage. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are available for support on the unit. The patient ratio typically ranges from 1:2 based on acuity. Candidates must be willing to float to Antepartum with a 4:1 ratio.

Block or special scheduling cannot be accommodated unless approved at the time of booking. RTO must be included with submission.
