- Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to meet the biophysical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Infection Control: Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and Joint Commission safety standards.
- Delegation: Delegate tasks in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
- Leadership: Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications for the Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN):
- Education: Must hold a BSN degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Current New York RN license.
- Experience: 1+ year of Acute Care Nursing experience preferred (especially for areas outside medical-surgical or step-down units).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
