Position DescriptionThis position is being offered as a temporary-to-hire opportunity. The temporary status is anticipated to last approximately three months. Upon satisfactory performance and business needs, the role may transition to a full-time, permanent position. Please note that the temporary status and potential transition are subject to the employer's discretion and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.PurposeThis role will perform various duties as they relate to Labor Compliance efforts. Specifically, this role has primary responsibility for the following areas: Ensure accurate processing, recording, and reporting of Certified Payroll Records (CPR) in compliance with California Prevailing Wage Law, Federal Davis-Bacon and related Acts, and Union Master Labor Agreements as applicable and within strict deadlines.Focus & ScopeEssential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and an integral part of the job, are indicated below.Company / Entities
  • Actively supports Operations goals and objectives through completing technical/ administrative projects accurately and on time, providing ongoing support as required, and proactively resolving challenges and issues as they pertain to project specific Labor Compliance.

  • Technical / Specialty Area
  • Contributes to the smooth operation of the Labor Compliance Deparment by providing administrative support to Teichert business unit (s) which may include some or all of the following:
  • Ensure accurate processing, recording, and reporting of Certified Payroll Records (CPR) and related paperwork using various payroll reporting software programs such as DIR, eCPR, Elations, eMars, LCP Tracker.
  • Develop and maintain electronic and hard copy of labor compliance documents from start to finish. Maintain thorough documentation and organization of compliance records.
  • Submission of confidential documents and data to on-line portals within strict deadlines.
  • Attend pre-job meetings related to Labor Compliance requirements for projects.
  • Liaison between project Labor Compliance Officer and Project Management team.
  • Review the CPR's of each subcontractor performing work and proactively follow up on with subcontractors on missing and/or incorrect CPRs.
  • Monitor, track, and ensure timely weekly reporting of all subcontractors and ensure compliance spreadsheet is up to date.
  • Submit Statements of Non-Performance into the payroll reporting software to ensure weekly payroll is up to date.
  • Update and submit Fringe Benefit Statements as necessary.
  • Monitor and resolve any labor compliance violations.
  • Point of contact for Labor Compliance communications
  • Maintains office records and files through accurate and timely processing of documents, setting up and maintaining department files, etc.
  • Review AP invoices for compliance related items. Capturing data timely and accurately.
  • Additional assignments and projects as required based on department needs.

    Role Qualifications & Requirements Education:
    • High School diploma or GED
    Experience & Industry Expertise:
    • Two years prior experience in office/clerical role
    • Two years prior experience in payroll or certified payroll preferred
    Specific Job Requirements:
    • Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information and successfully avoid conflicts-of-interest.
    • Construction knowledge regarding Prevailing Wage Law
    • Communicate with Subcontractors.
    • Intermediate computer software skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and time management practices.
    • Basic typing skills (50 wpm)
    • Knowledge of general office procedures
    • Knowledge of multiple-line phone system, business machines
    • Knowledge of standard operating policies and procedures
    • In office daily attendance
    • Must be punctual, arrive at work on time, and consistently work full time.
    • Ability to work authorized overtime as required
    • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation

    HOURLY BASE SALARY RANGE:$27.64 - $33.17The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonable expects to pay for the position.
