TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in San Antonio, Texas, 78251 Pay Information $2,107 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: - BLS required - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced FHM certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire if not previously certified) - ACLS certification (within 30 days of hire for experienced nurses, 90 days for new graduates) - NRP certification (at time of hire for experienced nurses, within 60 days for new graduates) Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - Completion of all annual competency verification requirements - Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting preferred Job Description: - Practice independently and demonstrate an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. - Provide routine and complex care, with the ability to focus on long-range goals or plans. - Continue to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. - Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers. - Meet expectations of the applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. - Provide nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. - Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocol. - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. - Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers. - Utilize critical thinking skills to assess the needs of patients and families. - Develop and use a specific plan of care, utilizing evidence-based practice. - Implement patient care procedures and monitor treatment progression. - Evaluate the care and treatment provided to the patient. - Plan, direct, and evaluate overall nursing care and functions in the unit during assigned shifts. - Demonstrate good stewardship in use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. - Educate and train others on operations, ethics, and regulations within the industry. - Incorporate patient safety practices to promote a safe environment. - Communicate patient information effectively across the continuum of care. - Share experiences and provide education on home medical equipment use. - Ensure proper working order of equipment and related supplies for patient safety. - Process medical orders accurately and efficiently. - Read and interpret patient charts, ensuring accuracy and completion. - Discuss best practices and safety guidelines with patients and family members. 26571807EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
